Environmental Policy

Glass globe

Like all companies, Airedale Cooling Services Ltd has to take notice of the changes and impact of environmental change. To this end, we have introduced a programme of environmental driven policy changes, which reaches into all aspects of our business.

  • In all cases, Airedale Cooling Services Ltd will endeavour to offer our customers the most energy efficient solution with a specific aim of reducing CO2 emissions.
  • Where existing equipment is being repaired or replaced, we will assess not only the commercial cost but also the environmental cost by offering a new, more energy efficient solution against the option of repair.
  • We will always offer a maintenance contract to our customers on any equipment that we have installed and/or serviced.
  • Any old equipment that we remove from site shall be correctly decommissioned and disposed of in line with all current EU regulations.
  • Airedale Cooling Services Ltd will always take a preference with manufacturers who offer the most energy efficient products and share our philosophy on environmental responsibility.
  • A constant programme of training is in place for all our staff to ensure that we understand and implement carbon saving technology and procedures.
  • Wherever possible, we are reviewing all our office procedures in order to reduce the amount of paper we use and, where it is necessary to use paper, to source from recognised sustainable sources.
  • Our new offices have been fitted out with the most energy efficient lighting, heating and cooling systems and shall be controlled by a Building Management System to optimise each aspect.
  • We are constantly reviewing our vehicle policy to ensure that we have a fleet of practical yet energy efficient vehicles.
  • Airedale Cooling Services Ltd is also reviewing and evaluating all new technologies and methods of reducing carbon emissions. To this end, we are currently evaluating the benefits of carbon off-setting.
